Transition to TCF v2.3

Get ready for TCF v2.3: The Deadline is February 28, 2026

The industry is moving toward higher transparency standards. To stay compliant and maintain access to premium demand, publishers must transition to TCF v2.3.

What’s Changing?

  • Mandatory Disclosure: TCF 2.3 makes the previously optional “disclosedVendors” segment mandatory. Processing personal data for special purposes relying on legitimate interest requires that specific downstream vendors be disclosed to end users in the CMP. The “disclosedVendors” segment serves this purpose.
  • First-Layer Transparency: Your CMP must update its live installations to include the “disclosedVendors” segment in the TC String.  vendors and the legal basis they will process data.
  • Legal Basis Shift & Transparency: While Legitimate Interest is no longer a valid legal basis for advertising and content personalization, it is still available as a legal basis for certain special and flexible purposes. The newly mandatory “disclosedVendors” segment is meant to ensure that vendors relying on legitimate interest for certain special or flexible purposes are disclosed in the publisher’s CMP.
